    Young lad Barnsley had and wanted to keep is on tv today playing for Sutton in cup. 12.30 kick off.

    We had him on trial one summer. He wasn’t deemed good enough.

    Saw him against Gateshead recently. Nothing to write home about.

    No he was at the club over 10 months and was on the retained list at the end of 22/23 season but left as he had issues with a permit and couldn't play league football at that time

    I saw him a number of times for u23's as they were then, he didn't look bad

    He couldn't have been on the retained list as he never had a contract. At that time he wasn't allowed to work in the country.

    The heading on that particular paragraph says players who have been retained or have a contract offer pending, could it be that they had offered a contract but due to not getting a work visa he was let go?

    Seen him play non league quite a few times, both for Chelmsford before he came to us and at Aveley afterwards,

    he was playing non league as he couldn’t get work permit, to be fair that’s probs my his level anyway
