But they are still guessing, whoever it is, against whoever it is. That doesn't make it any more accurate, particularly as I said, that 2016 and 2020 polls were well off.
Well, yes. My point was that exchanges and set odds were different that's all. As obviously bookies odds take into account weight of money staked and liabilities - whereas Exchanges don't. I think that was my point. I don't even know any more.
Haha, don't worry about it. Lets just hope its the least damaging outcome. Either way, I suspect we'll have to sit and witness days and weeks of craziness, whatever the result.
At a polling site in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Joanne Kelchner, 77, called Trump a “big daddy” and said she voted for him. “He’ll smack you if you’re an asshole.” OK. Right.
TO be fair though I expect this is like every time the BBC come to do a feature in Barnsley and they deliberately find the biggest gap-toothed weirdo with an accent like Extremely Northern to get a rent-a-quote.
Steve Bannon, released from prison a week ago, says: "Unlike in 2020, we will secure Trump's victory this time." Ominous.
Think Trump will win this one just based on the farce the democrats have gone through by firstly backing Biden, then having no real choice but to go to his VP rather than a thorough selection process. If they hadn't backed Biden from day 1, I think they would have been in a much stronger position. Guess we will find out in the early morning tomoz. More interested in the congress UAP hearing on 13th November.
I think the Republicans think they’ve won it , Vance being very conciliatory after voting, he wouldn’t be saying nice things about his opponents if he thought they were losing
They're just gearing up to claim that they won it whatever happens. Make people think that everything suggests they've got an easy 60-40 win and it makes the inevitable legal challenges and fraud accusations when they lose 49-51 seem less deranged.
Trump. Putin. Netanyahu. To paraphrase Lord Grey… ’The lamps are going out all over the world, we shall not see them lit again in our lifetime.’
Yep, they'll declare a win very early with complete certainty and then say that any outcome other than a Trump win must be down to fraud, with Musk and Fox etc doing the supportive media dirty work. The polls suggest that the outcome might not be conclusively known for some time but I'm fully expecting Trump to have declared victory by the time I wake up tomorrow.
Exchanges also take into account the size of the bets. 4 people betting $10000 each on Trump would shorten his odds more than 3000 people betting $10 each on Harris would shorten hers. And the billionaires supporting Trump are in a position to influence the markets - both on Betfair and on other platforms.
It depends - particularly on Betfair. If there's £1000 available to lay at 1.62 then that's only a finite amount. If you want any more on, then you're getting whatever is available at 1.61 or you're leaving it and waiting for someone to match it.
