…apparantly sent off for the Academy today for a punch?! That’s a 26 year old apparantly hitting a kid…

Did anyone from here go today? Barnsley have tweeted he was sent off but Birmingham have actually tweeted it was due to a punch!

Another waste of time signing! Barely been in the first team, & unlikely to get there anytime soon if he’s scrapping in an academy game! What a wastr

The u21s is effectively the reserves and can and often do field players well over 21. So it may have been someone older than him. Not that it matters as young adult sports people are no push overs anyway.

Same got said about Ghent being a waste of time and money. Let's just wait and see for a little while longer eh.

He’s not exactly looking an inspired signing to date is he?

For the 5 mins or so he came on at Shrewsbury thought he looked busy, he's clearly come to us very unfit, it might take a few injuries to get game time as we've many options.
Can't be judged surely on very very limited game time can he?

It was the U21s not the U12s FFS so probably not a kid at all.

I do worry about this move.

We’ve given a 3 year deal to a player who’s never played competitively in England before in a position we didn’t need filling & it’s now early November & he’s still not started a game of any note.

In two of his rare appearances I’ve seen him let runners go straight past him in the build up to goals in games where I’d expect him to be hungry to make a positive impression.

Time will tell but you’d think we’d shy away from these kind of signings after the Iseka and Oulare fiascos.

    Absolutely.
He looks decent I think from what we've seen.
A keen eye for a good pass.
As you say....let's not judge him yet.

Needless signing. Didn’t need another midfielder with the players we have. I’m sure he’s a good player but with a midfield of Connell, Russell and Phillips with squad players that include Matt Craig, Josh Benson and Vimal Yoganathan, didn’t see the point in.

Benson made of Glass and in his final year, Phillips more than likely will be sold, Vimal still very young, Craig not our player.

May well be he's been brought in ahead of next season

At the moment it appears to be a panic signing by a Sporting Director who seems to be struggling in the role.

We didn't need another one paced midfielder who doesn't offer anything different to the midfielders already at the club.

I don't understand why he was signed and where he fits into a team who want to play on the "front foot" - he doesn't exactly look like the type of footballer who wants to press.

Happy to be proved wrong but what we needed in the summer was pace, pace and pace.

I think the pace filter column was removed from the spreadsheet years back

Looking like the new Oulare. We never learn when it comes to spending money on players we don't need or won't play.

He's likely viewed as a long-term replacement for Benson, who probably isn't going to get another contract. With five subs larger squads are important and the club have been criticised previously for having to make wholesale changes in one window.

This is a quote on Twitter/X from someone that attended the U21's game this afternoon.

"He tried playing peacemaker during a melee and splitting up 2 players.

The lino saw him put his arm across one, spoke to the ref, who brandished a straight red. ‍♂️ Hopefully it gets rescinded because it was a terrible decision. Ref was card happy and very poor for both teams".
