Chris Dagnall had a small purple patch under Flitcroft starting with those 2 goals against Leeds, he was a terrible player at Championship level but still seemed to be adored by our fanbase.
One of Sheron's biggest problems was that his football brain was so far ahead of the rest of his teammates. He used to spot a great pass but play it and the teammate wouldn't have made the run, and so on. I didn't mind him.
You can't have a worst but most loved player. "Loved although he was crap" fits the bill better. Or " Crap although he was loved" I could have either of these put on my tombstone. (cos I can tell that the dog loves me)
My dad actually got El Haimour on back of his shirt that season, because I went to a pre season game with a mate and he had a good game so my dad got it printed thinking he would be great. Probably be one of if not the only Barnsley shirt sold in the shop that season with that print on back.
