We all know it doesn't, but it could have gone either way so I'm just putting both sides out there. We always seem to highlight the negative on here

I'll second that we should never have placed him on gardening leave let alone sack him in the first place
A good manager and a lovely honest bloke to deal with too

Not really cryne wasn't that rich in terms of football ownership he put money in over the years especially in comparison to our billionaires leaches who too over.

I think Robins is a decent manager but he's spent abit at cov now I can understand cryne not wanting to back him with his own money it would have been a big gamble from a man not that rich in football owner terms.

I'm unsure but what Robins has spent, isn't most of it from the sales of Gyokores and Hamer mate? I dont think his net spend is huge at all

I've got nowt against Cov Fc, apart from the fact that they never let us win any games at their place.. not even once!, just for a laugh!.
But seriously, you can't help but lose respect for a team can you, when they come up with bad looking decisions like this.
I always liked Robbo and I appreciated the job he did, and tried to do with us.
But that's irrelevant actually, I just think they have made a right mistake here!.

Owner and chairman are about as popular as chlamydia and Birmingham amongst the Cov fans I see…

Love it when a celebrity fan of a team get their opinion out there.

How is it mental, going against the whole ethos of what the club was trying to achieve with the high press system.

By the end of Collins tenure, he had literally coached that playing style out of our squad and boy did it show those last 10 games. It's taken until now for Clarke to re-establish an attacking mindset. Hardly mental.

    I’m sorry but that’s nonsense.

How do you play a high pressing style of football with the players we had?

It’s footballing suicide to get a team with next to no pace playing a high press.

Every time games became stretched we looked vulnerable. We were far better dictating the play.

Everyone wants to play high pressing, exciting football but you can only do it if you have the players.

You said it set the club back 10 years. That’s what I said was mental. In your next post you’ve said Clarke’s re-established whatever it is you’re claiming was lost. 6 months & 10 years is quite a difference.

Sorry but that's not true he had Cole who played the high press under Duff and very well watters and macatee had pace. Infact most of the side plated the high press the season before.
It's about as ridiculous as when people said j Williams had to play center back as he had pace for the high line. When Collins never played with a high defensive line.

That’s the point. We couldn’t play a high line as we lost all the height & pace from the season before

I stand by my original thinking. Ok 10 yes us extreme but Collins coached attacking football out of our team.
