Guessing because there is another game on sky kicking off at 8pm. Watch the first half of World beating, wondrous, one touch football at Oakwell, then switch over to watch Watford. Might not be the reason, but possible.
So really there's no need for it to have been 7.15. Unless of course SY's finest have been involved again.
Me too - throw in an hour's time difference from Barnsley to Burgundy and I'm usually ready for my bed by half time of a 19:45 or 20:00 kick-off. How I used to drive home 125 miles from them and get up for work the next day I don't know. Kudos to those who still do.
As well as sky I think an earlier kick off enables younger fans to perhaps come to a Friday kick off game that perhaps a later kick off may not You are never going to please everyone unfortunately
I wish all games started at 7 or 7.15. I used to liove night games but in my dotage not quite so late would be great.
It's to allow me to watch it on Paramount+, and then get out early for a pub crawl around San Francisco on Friday afternoon.
With all due respect Gally I think that's just nonsense it's to due with Sky nothing more nothing less. Theres been young uns going to footie forever and never know a game kick off at this time odd pizza cup at seven and when I was a lad all evening games were 7.30 but 7.15 a bit more of our soul has gone to the highest bidder. Does anyone know how much we get out of this deal the prem sold there whole soul for 150m per season I suspect ours went much much cheaper.
