They have cost us last season with numerous goals conceded and parts of this season.

But they were the best yesterday I've seen in years. Rotherham had 1 clear chance which was a good stop by killip.

All the back 5 read the game well. They basically defended 30 yards from our goal and didn't allow rotherham to attack our penalty area.

Gent is my kind of player. Not blessed with lots of pace but he's not an athlete, he's a footballer!

Thought the defence played well Rotherham were very direct, Roberts especially I thought was excellent after been criticised by fans earlier in the season maybe that's down to a change of goalkeepers I don't know.

I really like George, he's improving game by game. Not noticed any lack of pace, he's looked good both ends of pitch.

I think MDG went under the radar too, especially considering the amount of stick he gets. So many good interceptions and instead of blasting it out, he composes him and finds a pass. Thought he was excellent yesterday and with Robbo and Earl (rightly so) getting all the plaudits, I thought id shout mdg out. Hes also a very good runner with the ball when he gets going.

True, all 3 have had alot of criticism this season some deserved but were all good last night. Like said possibly change of keeper has helped the defence.

I think a large part is ironically Watters fitness. He can stretch defences and actually he held up the ball yesterday very well and allowed others to push forward. Its a nice asset instead of ball just coming straight back and putting defence under pressure

He's a upgrade on Cosgrove, he played well yesterday but should have been swapped for Humphry’s earlier as he was spent.

I said same too would have liked him to come on earlier, however, when he did came on he instantly impacted and scored so can't moan at all

Having confidence in the keeper behind you helps loads, and I think that has been the difference

Both MDG and Earl look better players with Robbo in the middle of them. He misses very little in the air which was a massive problem last season ,we have a very experienced leader who wants to be here something we haven't had for many a season.

The defence played very well, all wanting the ball. And wasting little. I thought Connell was superb as the defensive link. My MOTM for that

The direct running with the ball by Earl i thought was very impressive.

That was Brilliant we kept a clean sheet ,let's be honest defence played well, special mention For Genty who was outstanding again.
But Rotherham were a very poor side and wasn't really a test.
Games coming up soon will see where we are.
However I'm not taking away the fact we played well at home and got a win for a change.

Yes Gents been excellent lately but as someone has already said we need a backup specialist left back in January then we can keep our shape.
