I felt City would struggle as soon as it emerged that Rodri was out for the season. He’s their most important player. I was happy for them to shake things up when they came on the scene but now they’ve won the treble I’m bored of them winning so much & hope someone else wins the league this season.
Their cycle is coming to a conclusion and football will be the better for it. Some wonderful things Guardiola has done for the game but his City spell should largely go down in history as state funded yawn inducement of football so clinical and sanitised it left us cold.
