So he lands at Manchester airport in a private jet, then gets a police escort to the ground. Why the hell should the tax payers have to foot the bill for this.
So what you are saying is it’s ok for the police to escort a football manager about at tax payers expense
No. What I am saying is that there can't be any extra expense, given that they are already employed. Whether it was a justified use of their time would depend on whether they had concerns regarding any potential public order situation, I imagine.
Because he’s going to the biggest club in the world,& the most successful club in Manchester,he deserves it
I'd imagine United will be billed for it won't they? Question is, why do they think he needs such protection?
Sheffield Police said they can't afford to Police the Rememberence service anymore, but Manchester can afford this. Who would have known the new manager was coming and what did they expect could happen?
Unless you have detailed inside knowledge you've made a presumptive guess that the tax payer is picking up the bill and that Man utd won't be getting an additional charge to matchday policing costs
Parachute and a flight path over OT. Doesn't even need to pay the landing costs at Manchester Airport then.
Presumably the Police Escort is to make sure he actually arrives at Old Trafford and doesn't jump out of the "taxi" and leg it at the first set of Traffic Lights!
Your average arrsehole wouldn't even be aware of his arrival. Surely the risk of anything happening to him is so small not to be worthy of such hullabaloo?
Because RVN was waiting around to give him a few words for not keeping him on after turning their form around.
