Minutes in the legs is another one. What’s wrong with “playing time” or “time on the pitch”?

I know the bottom two are Mark Chapman and Jill Scott. Who are the top two? :)

"if anything he's hit it too well" - what the **** does that mean?

"it's picked up a bit of pace off the wet turf" - no it hasn't, that's literally impossible

    "Back under the lights"
Of course we are it's a f***ing night match. If the lights aren't on it's gonna be tricky.
    "We go again"
You mean we just got beat.
    "Limbs and pyros"
FFS youtubers and vloggers think of something original.
In short can professional or wannabe professionals put some modicum of originality into what they're posting. I know it's not easy but it's better than glib, meaningless bilge.

The same PL manager giving the following two statements also grates:

    January:
"The game against Rochdale in the cup has really taken it out of my boys; it wasn't ideal"

    vs

    August:
"The two games in Australia and the mini-tournament in the USA has really set my team up well for the coming season"

"Absolute SCENES in the away end! Wildest LIMBS and PYROS EVER!!!!!"

Wildly going over the top about pyros should be a sacking offence. Encouraging the pond life that sneak them in is just wrong. Look at that cretin in Greece last night who set off one (or several) near the end - it didn’t take long for half the pitch to be shrouded in fog. The referee should have taken the players off the pitch until it cleared. Noxious, potentially dangerous fumes. How do these idiots smuggle them in?

My one year old is currently driving us all insane by calling a football a soccer ball.
He must have got it from YouTube, but I can’t deprogramme him!

Actually ... it's not going to be helped by the wet, but my understanding is that a ball can accelerate off the turf as a result of rotational kinetic energy (topspin) being translated into translational (linear) kinetic energy.

If you can't deprogram him you'll just have to put him up for adoption. I don't see any other solution.

It's become more prevalent as the turnover of managers has increased, since it avoids them needing to remember which specific "football club" it is they're managing this week.
