Absolutely unbelievable city………..currently sat on a roof top taverna overlooking the acropolis whilst the heavens open…….

The treatment of England fans last night was disgraceful, they opened a gate which could’ve caused a deathly crush, it was scary tbh!! Not 1 toilet in the away end, you had to leave the ground to then come back in, really poor, if felt like there was too many fans in the away end, they also tear gassed fans waiting to get in, English police witnessed it and said they were unable to assist as they were powerless.

    Great result though…….

It was the same in Tirana years ago. No toilets, so you had to go outside where groups of locals were hanging around brandishing knives. To get back in you was then confronted by some belt wielding lunatic and his sidekicks.
When England scored the army/police waded in amongst the celebrating and rifle butted a few folk.
It was overcrowded then. There was an official from the FA, sat in amongst us, who was approached by several disgruntled fans. His advice of "shouldn't have come then should you" led to him being escorted out.
After the game was lively! Rocks, stones etc flying into our section from outside. The bloke next to got hit in the eye and as a result lost his sight in it.
Can't recall anything being in the papers about it all either.
