When I read the BBC report yesterday of the allegations against Natasha Harding I was concerned by the tone. Now the story has been updated and it only seems to be getting worse. I appreciate that a lot of people are claiming to be out of pocket, and how disappointed they must be, particularly as many children seem to have been caught up in this, but have the press learned nothing about how to report such stories? It's hard to believe that someone in that position would get themselves into a mess like this without there being some sort of underlying personal problem, and the current pile-on with lots of specific details of actual amounts of cash and accounts of kids being let down, etc, is so one-sided that it's not hard to imagine something awful happening. The police and fraud authorities are investigating the allegations, time to let them get on with it as the ongoing trial by media is becoming increasingly distasteful.
Sounds like it but I'm with the OP on this. It only needed reporting on the once before leaving it to the authorities to conclude. The incessant pile-on is only going to end one way.
