No league games called off yet, you have to go down to the 6th tier, National League North to find Darlington, Scarborough and Alfreton off. It'll be on, granted standards gonna be a bit ropey in a howling gale and a monsoon, but can't see it being off.
Which was an absolutely mental decision to hold a pitch inspection 28 hours before kick off for a match with temperatures Forecated to be in double figures.
I was in Scarborough yesterday and it was very very cold and icy. Many hills, fields, side roads and pavements were still under snow and ice but main roads were fine. Not surprised their game is off
Not really. If they knew the pitch wouldn't be able to take all the water that was forecast then its better to call it off early. They were playing Sutton. Their fans would have been setting off early this morning and if they had waited until 11am they would have been half way up the M1 and it would be the old "does nobody think of the fans" cries
It was called off for a frozen pitch though, not waterlogged or flooded and the pitch inspection was done yesterday morning. You can't possibly know a pitch will be frozen at that time
Tbf, if there was that much snow, with more forecast, they may have known it'd be waterlogged anyway, better to be safe than sorry when fans travelling that far. Flashscores haven't even got it listed as postponed.
