I am visiting family this weekend and would love to take them out for a great Sunday lunch. They are based in Thurgoland but we don't mind driving a bit for a good lunch. Can anyone recommend somewhere that doesn't serve soggy carrots and tiny Yorkshire puddings?
The boatmans rest Worsbrough if there's a better one I've not had it,obviously gets very busy so book if you decide to go.
Boatmans rest by a mile. DON'T go to the Strafford arms..was good but now awful.. haven't been but hear Old Post Office is very good..
If your after sampling the delights of the town centre at the same time I’d recommend The Salt House and the Botanist, tried both and see both really nice, a think The Salt House edged it for me personally
I lived in Greasbrough for seven years and never heard of Thurgoland. Just googled it. How did I miss that? Station/Railway Pub in Rotherham do a cracking Sunday lunch.
Another vote for the Boatmans Rest. The food there is brilliant any day of the week, proper homecooked meals.
