2 minutes additional time

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but how the hell did the ref come up with 2 minutes. 3 second half goals and plenty of changes, granted there wasn’t many/any stoppages for injuries but still should have been 4/5 minutes at least. Might not seem like a big deal but an extra few minutes could be the difference between a draw and a win. Rant over

 

It was the same at Cambridge the other week, saying that we had +9 additional minutes Vs. Wigan & did **** all with it…..

 

Could also be the difference between a draw and a defeat.

 

Keeper was down for mins nd half too.

 

It was nice to play an opposition team who just got on with it, no faking injuries or time wasting so well done Reading.

 

It was a good game but I was happy to go home.

Saturday baffled me too. They gave 9 minutes but there had been several hold ups in that 9 minutes so we were expecting another minute or two & he just blew up almost bang on 9 minutes

 

They finished the game on the front foot so I ended up being relieved it was only 2 minutes. I agree it was strange though. Expected 3 or 4 just because of the subs and goals.

 

Yep one of their players was warned for time wasting during that 9 minutes and at one point the ref pointed to his watch to indicate that he was adding time on then proceeded to add zero extra on.

 

Time keeping should be taken away from refs its more then evident that it’s just guess work.

 

On X, someone watched the 2nd half again v Wigan (yes, all 54 mins of it) & checked how long the ball was in play. Well done for doing it - 23. Ins!
