…it’s 1st December now so you’d like to think the foundations are being laid so we’re not scrapping the barrel come 31/1…. Sam Smith at Reading - 7 goals so far, Theo Aasgaard at Wigan - 5 goals so far; are both these teams still up the **** creek money wise? Could we tempt with an offer… Nathan Lowe at Walsall, 8 goals so far & on loan from Stoke; we’ve seen it before where teams will take players away in January to send them to a club at a higher level (I can see this happening with Louie Barry at Stockport!) Joe Geldhart at Leeds, not getting a look in? Joe Taylor at Luton’s still not getting many minutes even though they’re ***** at the minute… Any other suggestions? Feel free to add to the thread… I’ve given Sam Cosgrove chance after chance & it’s just not looking like it’s going to happen unfortunately.. We need a focal point that DKD, Humphrys & Phillips can all work around. Pay the money for a decent striker! It’s blatantly obvious it’s needed after the last 3 games.
Joe Taylor……I wanted him pre season in a Barnsley shirt and I still think he’s more suited to this system we play. Don’t think we will get him tho. A player I think will be on our radar tho is Molyneux at Donny. Fits the spreadsheet. Matthew Steven’s at AFC Wimbledon maybe. Orsi-Dadomo at Burton is knocking them in and scored 23 the previous year at Crawley. If you wanna go non-league then Ollie Pearce at York is an absolute goal machine. Look at his record. Downfall is that he’s 29yo. Worth a gamble tho?
Smith and Aasgaard absolutely zero chance. Taylor is nailed on for Huddersfield and especially so now they’re on such a good run. January is a notoriously difficult time to do striker business though. Hopefully we can pull a rabbit out of the hat but it won’t be easy and is likely to be late on in the window which might be too late.
Molyneux has just signed a new deal at Donny in the summer so that’s going to be a non-starter IMO, we could’ve got him on a free! The same with Orsi at Burton, doubt he’s going to move on as he’s only just signed from Crawley.
Agree he his probably better than we have upfront at present. But he won’t be coming and who could blame him even if we tried to get him back ,he even got dogs abuse when he was playing well from start of last season up to Xmas!
To be fair your both right the Davante who started the season fully motivated looked like he wanted to be here and the half arsed why didn't you sell me in January one. He eventually got what he wanted Championship wages unfortunately for him he's not a Championship quilty player never mind Davante keep cashing the cheque
I'd take Norwood over Cole any day of the week' it hasn't taken long for the west brom fans to see through him.
