Unfortunately we’re not an attractive proposition for any potential new owners. We’re stuck with this lot until they run us into the ground, god knows where we’ll end up, hopefully no lower than league 2.
unfortunately the type of people who are will to put money into 2nd rank (at best) football clubs is limited. The economics of football mean in most cases "investments" become donations. Only the very wealthy are able to do this. We supporters have to put up with what we get. We only have to look to the clubs that have been on the brink recently to see examples of this. The club has to get lucky with player development, signings and the right coaches. Success will come again, how quickly is the big uncertainty.
I’m not sure they’re poison and I’m sure they’re trying their best. Why would they not be? It’s their millions they are putting in. My issue is that they keep making mistakes. I know our first season in league 1 it fell well with the defence but if you look at that back 3 compared to last season and this season, it’s miles off now. In fact, apart from central midfield, which has largely stayed the same, I feel like we are currently weaker all over the pitch. January we could do with getting in some real coups for cheap or on loan. Judging our current loan players, I’m not sure that will happen.
Do you not think this is a bit strong? We lost a game of football in disappointing fashion, albeit against a team with strong home form, and everyone's hurting from that this morning, but imagine waking up and having that compounded by reading this kind of thing about one's efforts.
I agree. 'Board out' comments never suggest any real alternatives. Best thing is to constructively criticize, bring thoughtful points to the fans forums and hope that the board have some nous and listen.
We seem stuck with them unfortunately due to points raised. I know some of the ownership of 2017 have moved on but still retain minority shares of little influence but its a sorry state for their upcoming 7 year anniversary. Turning the clock back to 2017 we had cash in the bank with a positive balance sheet and championship football. Long way from that now
Calling them 'poison' is way OTT and very distasteful. They are nothing of the sort. Whether they are the right people to lead us forward is up for debate, but I believe they have the club's best interests at heart in all they do, name calling is uncalled-for.
We are unfortunately stuck with them. Two seasons of poor home form, special offers handed out far too regularly and so few 3 pm games on a Saturday at home. On top of that mid week games available on Sky Sports + because they took the easy money to allow it. Wait until season ticket sales for next season come around.
Obviously when you say they took the easy money I'm presuming your talking collectively about the 72 clubs but I agree with your points around season tickets, they will fall dramatically seeing further regression
the problem we have for potential buyers is being in a terrible catchment area, surrounded by bigger clubs with bigger markets, if we're gunna make it up the leagues we will need to do it as rank outsiders Luton style rather than Bournemouth/Brighton/Wrexham
