    Anyone watch his after the ball had gone assault on Gordon this week?
    I can’t believe he got away with it - I was shouting at the tv at the time and everyone seemed to pass over it. Should have been a penalty and a sending off. Horrible challenge when Gordon wasn’t watching.

    Saw it and he couldve broke his jaw, proper shithousery and deserved a straight red and 3 game ban, but according to Carragher he's the best centre half ever to play in the Premier League. Then again, spitting at a 12 year old out of your Range Rover window is also quickly forgotten, Liverpools league to lose......

    I just can’t understand why it hasn’t been reviewed after the game. It was blatant in the game so to miss it there and then, not call it on VAR and then just ignore it is just incompetence beyond belief.
    As you say, could have seriously injured him.

    Just about got away with it as he didn’t look to jut his shoulder out towards Gordon. Didn’t really seem to ‘look’ for him either, would be hard to prove it was deliberate for a post match punishment. Nasty challenge all the same though.

    I was sat cheering for Newcastle but I think a lot of you are letting anti-Liverpool feelings cloud your judgement.

    There’s no way anyone’s getting banned for 3 games for that. He’s obviously stepped across him to impede him but his arm doesn’t come out.

    I don’t believe for a second that people would be saying Marc Roberts should have been sent off if it was him & not Van Dijk.
