Straight from the horses mouth in an establishment in tarn (I’m not saying anymore but anyone who’s read past posts could probably figure it out, this isn’t one of them fishing posts) has said he’s 99% certain he’s leaving the club in January, be it on loan or perm, and that there has been some kind of falling out of favour between him and the coaching staff but couldn’t/wouldn’t be more specific, and we’ve all suspected something. Shame. Really like Barry. Limited but a proper trier and seems a good character. Suppose it may change if other changes happen at the club before January.
He's probably asked.....what do oi need ta do ta git a game over that bag o shoite eejit shoitehawk O'Keefe, atleast oi can take a throw in. Or summat.
Whilst he's clearly worked hard and improved while he's been here, he's nowhere near good enough for this level of football. I wish the lad all the best but as a Barnsley fan I'm pleased to hear we're keen to move him on. I hope there are 4-5 more in the same boat.
The reason why we didn't keep Grant or McAtee was because they were in bookies (Paddy) most nights with Cotter betting on Irish football.
While I don't think he's very good id personally get rid of the much much much worse O'Keeffe first rather than weakening us further
Same o keeffe who only luca connell has more assists. And to be fair Corey should have more if our forwards could finish. He didn't play well v wrexham but he's just inconsistent.
I might have heard a whisper about that as well. I might also have had mentioned that not all his bets are on the horses. Silly boy.
By the close of the transfer window, I fully expect us to have sold all our right backs and have 4 left wing backs competing for both full back slots having converted to a back 4 and signed 3 more centre halves. In all seriousness though, we've got to balance this squad. If Cotter goes because O'Keefe and Lofthouse are his preferred options, that's fine with me. If he wants to let 2 go and bring in another one, fine by me also.
Good old Bazza got in some good positions when not tying himself up in knots. His end product is poor mind O'keeffes not much better ,he had the shirt more fool him if he messed it up.
Yes because we focus ALL of our play down the right hand side. A blind man with one leg would be our top rated assister in this team. Barry Cotter has a better assist per minute record in the league than O'Keeffe this season by the way
