Can I just say, I don't think we'll bin the whole first team in the summer, let alone in January.

Thats correct unfortunately, we’ll have to give them away, it’s going to be a long few years before we have a squad capable of mounting a serious promotion challenge.

Wouldn’t let Shepherd leave, he’s getting rave reviews at Bradford. Their fans love him and left sided centre halves aren’t easy to find.

If theres a clause in his loan deal I would bring him back now to cover for Earl.

We'll have to see who is willing to take some of these players. They will have to match the personal terms with us, otherwise players may just run down their contracts.

I could see there being interest in a few, but other than Phillips, who I do think teams will be interested in many others may only attract the interest of L2 teams. We need to keep Jalo, Lofthouse & Yoganathan. They are real prospects. Getting Shepherd back would be handy, we'd then have Earl & him as left sided CBs.

The players mentioned will not recoup a significant amount of money but it would of course free up wages, so that means there has to be some financial outlay to improve the quality of the team, if we're expecting a potential 20 goal striker for £150k then we're all going to be disappointed, I can see a greater use of the loan market which has more cons than pros, the powers that be might just surprise us and spend a decent amount on a centre half and a striker, I'm not going to hold my breath.

I think we might be in for a serious case of the Schmidts.

    OUT

    Cosgrove offers nothing
    Cotter not good enough
Craig taking up a wage albeit loan
Slonina seen enough it's still no

    SELL
Phillips if there's a decent offer it's cash to strengthen

    IN
Wingbacks x 2 and decent ones with engines and delivery, most important position on the pitch, our recruitment in this area has been criminal.
An actual number 9, if we're about a possesion based game then someone who can run in behind and stretch the back line.

    LIKE TO SEE

DKD played in behind 2 strikers as NO10
Lofthouse given a run as RWB starting next week instead of Okeefe
Nwakali started and Connell taken off set pieces

Benson’s no doubt a quality player when match fit, therein lies the problem. He’s been very unlucky with injuries but it just seems he’s never going to get that run of games he so desperately needs.

Got this on good authority from a friend, quote'That GK you’ve got on loan from Chelsea is 8th choice at their place and is on 50k a week. Barnsley are paying 2.5k of that. Ridiculous money in premier league'...
Now is it any wonder why we struggle to compete with bigger clubs offering to fork out the cash to bring in and meet the wage demands of better players. Football has gone crazy.

Given it’s been repeatedly said our recruitment starts and ends with the Head Coach, I wish people would stop blaming the data analysts. Unless of course the HC doesn’t get final say then it’s on the DoF.

On similar note on Football Focus yesterday they did a segment praising the Man City youth set up and how well so many had left and gone on to do well.
They listed around 15 players who in last couple of years had left to further their careers.
All I saw was why are these clubs allowed to hoover up all these players and how many good players don’t make the grade as they get swallowed up and don’t get an opportunity.

I wouldn't have thought it was the Head Coach. We've signed players during the summer whilst we didn't have a gaffer - so it's probably a mixture.

The Man City’s and Chelsea’s have virtually got their own footballer factories, they make a small fortune selling their academy players i.e. Cole Palmer, it’s a pity that our academy seems to hit a of a dead end regarding producing players good enough to make us a bit o brass

Correct, the club identifies the players that match the data and have targets a,b,c,d etc then the HC picks which he'd like, but ots by no means a free regin neither is it zero input

Let Phillips leave if a bid comes in and play DKD in his position. Loans go back for me, Marsh, Mccarthy, Cotter, Cosgrove, Pines, Hayton can go. Are any of the under 21's going to make it?? Not from what I've seen. Yoganathan possibly but needs to go out on loan and play. Jalo needs a run of games if his shoulder injury is up to it. Need a striker loan to get us off our seats but Chopra's, Mcburnie etc... not easy to get.

Why Pines? I can see sense in the others but not Pines plus what about Lopata, Shepherd
    and Dallas?

Forgot about Dallas yes he can go. Pines, I'm just not sure. Shepherd and Lopata are doing well on loan from reports I've seen although Lopata is injured at the minute. I would leave them until the summer

I’d agree for this Summer but then it would have been the DoF not the analysts.
