    What a player we had.
    Ditto Ryan Hedges.

Not like us to let a decent player slip through our hands!

By the way Fiona, saw you at the Octagon earlier. Didn’t have time to come and say hello, as we had to zoom off for the tram/train, cos junior told me he hadn’t done his ruddy homework yet. Really enjoyed it. We were wondering what they’d do for Revolution #9 and they did a great job with it.

Wish more gigs would start at 4pm, so we didn’t have the hassle of wondering how on Earth we’re getting home.

Yeah that was a great gig.
Unbelievable amount of talent went into it.
I’m no connoisseur so didn’t know about #9 - but was impressed nevertheless.

He/Chaplin did spoil it a bit though, by ignorantly running his mouth about this club.
However, I don't think it was aimed at us fans was it.
It was of course aimed at you know who, and everything he said was true to be honest!.

Nahh, I always preferred Laurel & Hardy instead (of Chaplin).

    Plenty from me.
Can remember at the time saying that Hedges was technically one of the best at the club.

I have a theory with player's like Chaplin, they all have a club where all the stars allign the family settle in a area ,style of play suites that player, coaches style of man management suites too. It's happened plenty with us players playing there best football with us then the better financial offer comes, off they go never to play that way again. I didn't see Chaplin achieving what he has I thought he's a decent league 1 player with a good left foot but a swinger of a right.

I always thought Hedges had ability. It was just keeping him fit that was the issue.

I liked Chaplin as a top end league one player / useful squad player in the championship but fair play to him he’s turned out far better than I ever imagined he could.

Tbf, I don’t recall too many complaints when they left.

    Pleased Chaplin got his goal.

I liked him and thought it was a really poor decision to push him out of the club as we did.

To think we had Morris, Woodrow, Dike, Chaplin and Adeboyejo to choose from, and that was only 4 years ago.

I was very disappointed when Chaplin left. Slightly less with Hedges.

Players develop at different ages, although I thought he was a decent league one player and we were on our way back there so nieve to let him go especially when we brought in players like iseka and oulare. At the time many and the club we happy we got back what we paid for him.

People questioned the original signing of Chaplin, but I think everyone came to view him as an integral part of the team, even when he didn't score he was giving 100% for the team and effecting the game as much as he could, mystified when he left, but it became clear it was all about $$$ - the clubs motivation, not his.

    He left before Conor.

But he had struggled for goals that season. And I think the club wanted someone more like Dike (whose loan was over). Hence the arrivals of Oularé and Leya Iseka.

    Which went well.

I know he went before, but if the hare had been set in motion and we wanted someone more of a lump...

And yes, Oulare and Leya Iseka... It's so easy to understate the value they brought to the club!

I thought Chaplin was poor in Val's season. He scored 4 goals from his 31 starts.

We'd got Woodrow and Morris and just had Dike on loan.

I wasn't upset to see Chaplin go, but hadn't expected the replacements for Chaplin and Dike to be as bad and poorly researched as Iseka and Oulare.
