Well a difficult match to think about calmly. We dominated until the sending off but once again lacked a killer instinct or ability to defend a lead.

Putting all that aside the reason we lost was a bit of idiocy from Adam.

    Fine margins.

man of the match. A tricky one really. But Gent for his first half display. When he adds consistency to ability he will be a force.

I thought it was Gent's best performance in a red shirt but his defending for the second goal negates any possibility of man of the match. No one else really put their hand up so I've plumped for Roberts as we generally looked secure at the back before his injury plus he put that delightful cross in which nearly resulted in a goal.

Thought Roberts was solid before coming off. O keffe played some good balls one 1st half where Humphry’s was put in but there defender was too quick and got there 1st and for the goal but then does some stupid things which almost cost us. Same with gent played well then the defending for the 2nd goal was shocking we seem to have a few players like that do something great then next minute a liability. So Roberts for me.

Mr Humphrys comfortably gets my vote and Gent a thumbs up particularly for his first half performance

Gent if it wasn’t for the second goal but I can’t give him it for that alone.

Humphrys for constantly getting about and harrowing them - a thankless task when essentially up front on his own as DKD is about as much use up front as a d.ick flavoured lollipop

Opinions I thought Humphrys played ok and took the goal well but so many times got caught on his heels or slow to react.

Didn't vote for him but he did well to retain possession under pressure on a number of occasions. Wasn't his best game but it was better than his last couple and was closer to his good form earlier in the season.

I wonder if those who voted for De Gevigney have noticed how he gives the ball away on a regular basis. He makes the odd surging run forward, but he is not a reliable defender.

Easily our worst defender. Always out of position. Weak in the tackle. He has a lovely touch and can pass but crap at his actual job.

Disagree. Very strong in the tackle and regularly puts his head in to 50/50s where it looks like one or both will get clattered.

A much improved and very underrated player. Just wish he'd get back into the nice habit of marauding up field like he did last season.

    Opinions, eh?

I'm a simple lad. I want my strikers to put the ball in the net and my defenders to stop the other team doing the same. Only after they achieve that do I care if they can do someone else's job too and sadly MDG hasn't got anywhere near to achieving that basic defender skill yet.

Yeah indeed. For me he is easily our worst defender and our defence has been awful throughout his time with us. Seems a great lad and good team player just more suited to the old Matty Appleby Libero role.
