    Anyone know how it works and why is the maximum 113 points.

    All the well known posters have 113 points and so do I even though I'm 50,000 posts less than Dreamboy

    Click on the trophy points (it's a hyperlink)
    You can see what points you have received and for what.
    At the bottom of that list is what is available. So it seems 113 is the highest you can get at the moment.

    Wouldn`t rely on the posts totals either quite a few were wiped off totals when the messageboard changed.
