Harsh. He's gone up in my estimation after calling some of the Millwall fans 'idiots'

Last weekend he called some of his own fans thickos, so he couldn't really be kept on so they called it a mutual decision.

Sacked for telling the truth - not the first though, and definitely not the last.

Greg Wallace is Millwall and looking for work......unreconstructed 1970s beliefs...seems a good fit.

And replace him with who? Besides, if he’s not good enough for us - why would an established championship club want him?

I was staggered to read some of the stuff on FB following the playoff final. Lots had the attitude that it was our fault because we goaded them. I’d have expected that from their younger male fans, but not middle aged women

Even if it were just young males, fans goad at literally every single match up and down the country, and most of the world. Behaviour like that was disgraceful

Yeah, remember that, we had the audacity and the cheek to wear our colours, sing our songs and generally not be intimidated by them. They took this as us ‘giving it large’ Apparently we were supposed to cower and whimper in their presence and because we didn’t do that and just went ahead and enjoyed our day as excited football fans, we were ‘giving it large’ and deserved the beatings they gave us before, during and after the game.

It’s a real shame they are as they are. We used to play their supporters club back in the day and they were ok, even sorted us tickets for one game. Back then, BFC wouldn’t even lend us a match ball.

They laid on snap for us after the supporter's match. Then after the main game, whilst being held back, some of their staff came round offering out chicken satay skewers for nowt.

Roundabout 1984 a coachload of them used to spend the night at a working men's club in Kendray every now and then.
There was a fair bit of singing but no bother

Way I read it. He's not calling out the thugs. But those critical of the players/team.

I think you'll find the 'beatings' before and after the game were shared out equally.
