Just been reading hes bought 2 apartments in Mumbai for over 12 million pounds.I thought he had no money.
That just proves he's got no ambition Bill, he could have spent a fraction of that and got a two up and two down in Lundwood or Goldthorpe
He's put in several millions into the club over the last few seasons so clearly not skint but maybe doesn't want to put all his wealth into Barnsley fc.
Agreed, he's a very wealthy man but with a couple of million quid we'd be right in the mix.The supply is there and we need a good striker.Cover for left back and I'd put a bid in for that Exeter centre half.
You will be surprised how much we've spent including the wages under the owners. Sadly the cheaper players have actually been the better ones. Cosgrove Watters Hourihane Probably expensive including wages at this level.
Did anyone watch the Leeds vs Preston game? There were a few interesting comments about how the Preston chairman has to pump eleven million quid into the club to keep it sustainable in the championship and their wage budget is 20th in the league. That shows you the gulf between the championship and league one and it also shows the sacrifices our board make to put money into the club and even more so the money that the Preston chairman is pumping in out of his own pocket. You can say that if our board pump another 2 million quid in we will probably go up but it's not that simple is it? There's no guarantees that it would work and what are the consequences if it fails and we don't get to the championship? Look at Moshiri the current (until next week) Everton owner he's spent hundreds of millions for little return, he's absolutely bank rolled them but they have spent the money so carelessly that there's next to no return on the money and no league or cup success. It should be a warning to all clubs that spending money is great but becareful of how you spend it and think about the consequences
Is it actually our Chairman? This doesn’t look like him unless the article has got the wrong picture https://www.india.com/business/meet...ments-worth-rs-their-business-is-7465903/amp/
Makes me laugh on here at how many folks tell owners/chairman to spend money on club when a lot of em don’t spend any of theirs on club.
