He went early hoping things would get worse then the negative brigade could have weighed In behind him. Fortunately for the rest of us it didn't and he was left looking very silly.

I genuinely think if we had Cole in the side we'd be top two or three.

Good review mate, and I agree that the biggest problem will be if/when we bring in new players and that won’t be until end of window, and probably cost us as maybe too late to help getting in top 6.

Great post Troff, squad needs to be leaner with a bit more quality added to specific positions and then fill any gaps in the squad with our best younger players. Clarke needs to be given a big say in the next 2 windows to achieve it and then we can fairly judge him next season.
We're not a million miles away but tweaks are needed.

    Aye

They always disappear. I wasn't happy myself but I didn't slate the manager. I just said we need to play with wingers and we have players that aren't capable at this level but yet again we have some tidy players. In hindsight. We need to find the correct balance

I think he's shyyte. Always have. Just not a good, consistent player. Having said that I do think he's better than our current striker/s who don't actually strike. Cosgrove is an enigma in that for a striker he seems to be on strike. So, yes, Cole would be better but that doesn't mean Cole isn't shyyte, just that Cosgrove is shyyter. Its degrees of shyyteness for me. As to whether BFC would be in top two or three with Cole I think its debatable.

Probably. I don't rate Cole much as a footballer. But as he got older he learnt where to stand and how to kick the white round thing between the two posty looking things.

You say "There’s also plenty of other fat we can trim" , how about the Player / Coach who does not want to play ??

You could do that but you'd surely be trimming the coach. If he's a good coach we shouldn't be trimming him. I have no idea if he's a good coach or not btw.

But folk on here told me Cole was gash. I was in the minority who defended Cole. Bet he was glad to see the back of bfc alot of unwarranted stick imo.

Fully motivated one pre January would make a big difference the half arsed sulking one no thanks. He got his move good luck to him but I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

I’ve never understood why people make rash statements mid-game. I nearly always watch the full game before posting anything on here

Clarke is probably slightly out of his depth but he’s been given a low scoring squad lacking in balance.
He probably deserves to stay until the end of the season.
Need to sign a goal scorer, a left wingback for cover and a right one who’s not gash

Oh aye I bet he's thrilled twiddling his thumbs and getting splinters in his arse sitting on the bench at WBA .
Still don't think he was the answer btw, scored a few goals in clusters then went long spells contributing very little .
WBA signed him and sussed him out PDQ , hence very little game time
