Didn't see yesterday apart from the goal, but saw him a couple of games and what stood out was that his technique is just a step above everyone else on the pitch. Makes it look easy.
Wasn't Dan Cowley the last Arsenal mid? Though he did enough with us to guarantee a decent enough lower league career
So far so good. But a couple of games is no basis for judging a player. We need to see consistency and an ability to impact games. Think the criticism of Clarke is way off. He came not fit and it’s taken this long to get match fit. I’d say he’s handled it well
Thanks for sharing, enjoyed watching that. "He's not only disgraced himself, he's disgraced his family" has to be the most cutting thing I've ever heard about a player playing for Barnsley
Completely agree. My fear is now because he's had a good few cameos, people will think he's Pirlo, and if he drops off and doesn't play great for 2 or 3 games, it'll get people on his back because his standards have been set too high. He does look great. I've got no fear of him being poached any time soon though because I don't know if he can maintain such a good start. I hope he can, can't think of any particular reasons why he can't. But he's certainly an exciting prospect for us!
A fit Watters & Humphrys would offer a lot in terms of pace. Phillips or DKD following in. We have little in the way of cover, or alternatives. Jalo would have been one. Marsh might figure as a sub, but I think he's not at the level now. Cosgrove is just useless. Nwakali is a blinding signing. If we can give him targets for runs, we have a good chance, if we can recruit an extra fast striker up front.
If Neerav can drop £12m on a couple of pokey flats in a slum, I'm sure he can find the £50m required for Rashford to ensure promotion, needs to get it sorted before fowls beat us to him.
