    Silly season has started then. They were linked with every player under the sun in the summer, and didn't sign anyone particularly out of the ordinary.

    You missed 2 notable exceptions not on that list mate, albeit only on loan to us:
    David Johnson, ex Everton/Liverpool and England of course and
    Jan Molby, Liverpool and Denmark,
    We are miles away from attracting that sort of player these days

    I loved it when we signed Jan Molby, and the idea that he thought Martin Bullock was just a little autograph hunting fan. :D
    I also thought we made a really positive ambitious move, in appointing Viv Anderson and Danny Wilson.
    It was really disappointing though when Viv couldn't wait to leave, when Bryan Robson/Middlesbrough came knocking. :eek:
