Just another example of buying a player without considering the needs of the squad and where the player will fit into it just because his numbers look good on a spreadsheet and they think they'll be able to turn a profit in a couple of years when he's sold. That's why the squad is in the state it's in .
I think you may be wrong there. I think he was bought to play behind the strikers but the one additional striker we wanted didnt materialise and the others have either been injured or out of form. You would probably then have him and Phillips vying for the same posion
But he cannot run or tackle. The only thing he has got is a pass when he decides he wants to. But yet he gets picked unbelievable
Not sure how we thought we could make a profit on him to be fair. If rumours are true and we paid £700k for him I think it would be difficult to sell him on for much of a profit considering he's already 27 and L1 is the highest level he's ever played at.
Mine too. I don't think he's getting involved enough in games but I don't think he's been played in the right position either. Part of the reason for that is Watters has been struggling for fitness. And the other reason is we didn't sign any strikers. Neither Clarke nor DKD is at fault for that.
Whilst it's not all about profit, if we get a steady flow of goals and assists throughout his contract and ultimately promotion then I suppose its worth it.
Absolutely. Just pointing out that I don't think he was one signed with a view to making a profit on him.
