I'd not particularly blame Killip, but a good GK does save that.

The defence has been poor for seasons, nothing has been done apart from the further dismantling of it rather than strengthening.

    O’Keefe and Gent can’t defend - a three of MDG/Pines & a lad who hasn’t played regularly for 2 years - we’re reaping what we sow.

This is the difference between a decent keeper and a bang average one.

If Earl and Roberts aren't back soon we'll need to start looking at the other end of the table, to call it school boy defending would be an insult to school teams everywhere

To be fair, we have looked dangerous, more so when defending but have had chances

Been alright as long as ball is as far away as possible from our half.

We keep making opportunities; we also keep making nothing of them.

That’s the way I see it, he was trying to cover the whole goal and it would certainly have beaten some keepers , but ……

This referee's incompetence is growing with each minute that passes.

this is true. You could just cut and paste some past game day threads and see exactly the same topics. Cant score. Shabby defending. I await the poor substitution statements coming later.

Schon absolutely pillocked the ref there. Got the player booked too. Very clever play. Meanwhile, fair play to Russell. Been excellent.

Anybody would think our defence had never played a competitive game of football before. Everytime it's panic stations and hacking at balls or losing possession. Most of their attacking pressure has come directly through our defensive decisions, the goal included.

People can blame Clarke but he can only work with the players at his disposal. January incomings a must to replace MDG, McCarthy in particular also Pines in his current form.

Then up top we need a goal scorer, easier said than done.

That wasn’t even a foul. McCarthy got the ball, his feet were nowhere near their player, who fell over McCarthy’s body.

We’re still making enough chances that natural strikers would put put away .
