After a week from hell where my lovely partner Susan is hospitalised with dementia complications and is now awaiting a transfer to a care home for specialist care the Reds winning today has been a little light in a very dark tunnel Thankfully I've had lots of support from family and friends so I've managed to get through the festive season so far though with tears at times Enjoy your evening and never be afraid to tell someone you love that you love them
My heart goes out to you, I lost my wife of 40+ years on November 15th, she was diagnosed at the age of 49 she had Fronto Temporal dementia, a truly evil disease, I did as much as I could until the time came to place her in proper care [Ward Green Lodge) Who were magnificent, you say you have good people around you this is so so important. Good luck my friend I wish you and your family all the best in dealing with a very difficult situation.
I truly feel for you, both my parents succumbed to this awful disease. Killed mi Dad & mi Mam is in the tightest of grips of it, try to stay strong X
All the best mate. Even as someone who sees the effect of dementia every day at work, I can't begin to imagine how difficult this time will be for you.
Big love and big condolences. Impossible to know what you are going through but just surround yourself with love mate it’s the only thing that matters at the end of the day.
Stay strong mate. Lost my Uncle Colin and Grandma to the illness. Never eat a tin of peaches, drink brandy and try my best not to use kitchen roll again as long as I live. Truly awful but just take some time to process your thoughts. No matter how hard it feels. Process them.
