Yes. If our away form stays as good as this then we only need to get our home win rate up to 50% and that would put us in with a chance.

We should sign a couple of strikers. Fortnum and Mason.

A striker is is one position we need to sort. A keeper is up there for me we are getting away with playing Killip as good as he's been he's no promotion winning no1. We need a left sided defender one that could cover both position would be great but to fair to Mccarthy I've been pleasantly surprised by how well he's done.

No point in a keeper - you’ll be adding someone brand new to the back line during a play-off chase. We need to go with who we have now, with exception of Slonina possibly going back. Smith retained to challenge him.

Left winger needed who’s also comfortable playing on the RH too.

A striker - target man type who can hold the ball up and chip in with a few goals too.

Both difficult to obtain at the best of times, let alone January…..

To be honest, we’re weak all over but there’s some improvement in the areas you outline, and maybe we can limp on with what we’ve got. Where we can’t keeping failing is in the forward line ; as weak as it’s ever been. The thing is, I can’t see our Board doing anything dramatic in January, so if they are limited in their ambition - get a Striker in.

They are not limited in ambition. They’re limited in available players and available funds.

Still plenty of games left. Half the season. All hinges on whether we sign a striker in January and a decent keeper. Home form is a massive too. It needs to improve to the point where we win most of our home games. Still fancy Play-Offs in spite of my whinges but it will be difficult to win the league now.

Btw, as much as I like Shaun of the dead, are there that many quotable jokes in it.

I love the cornetto trilogy mate, especially shaun of the dead and hot fuzz. I actually think there's a tonne of quotes usable. Whether they're originally from those movies or just been added with different context, I dot think there's plenty. Me and my mate use about 4 often!
