My take on the two incidents, never a pen, soft as owt, hands on him but that's all. Definitely a red for their lad, went right through, out of control, reckless, with studs shown.
I used to work with a Project Manager at RBS who looked like Darren Ferguson. She was a nice lassie but a poor Project Manager.
Clearly he’s forgotten about the double jeopardy rule…not that it would have deserved a red under the old system either.
Doesn't the double jeopardy rule only apply if you're going for the ball but get the man? Which I don't think applies in this case. Not that it's a red card under any system. It's just a clumsy foul (in my opinion) or no foul at all in the opinion of others.
I’m not sure it’s a case of like father like son as Darren Ferguson hasn’t been gifted the hoovering up of all the north wests youngsters by a talented and ruthless scouting regime. He has, however, been handed a massive sense of entitlement.
In my opinion, if fergy junior spent as much energy reprimanding and instructing his team, he may do well. But he spent most of his time complaining about our coaches and how we were. Bob on from our lads, it destracted him into the petulant son of the **** like his father.... All the refs fault. Sithi ya gret bell
It looks like some of their fans are just as deluded as well, or ignorant!... " We matched Barnsley in the 1st half, but fell behind to 2 quick goals at the beginning of the 2nd half. And a 3rd followimg Mothersille’s well taken penalty goal. The ref was Barnsley’s 12th man, the player whose foul led to our penalty should have been red-carded, and the red card shown to our player was harsh. There was also a foul before the 3rd goal. "
Yes not sure what that one was on. Fair enough to say the red might be harsh one of those that sometimes is a yellow and sometimes is a red there were even some claiming it was a fair tackle and he got the ball not even a foul!! But In all fairness there were quite a few agreed it was a red and they were well beaten. They had 3 shots all game one of which was the pen. We had 15. Killip only made one save. It’s a stretch to blame the ref when he was the only reason they were still in the game. Red card for our player who committed an innocuous foul on a guy who was never getting to the ball that 99 times out of 100 is ignored by the ref. Proper PMSL
Well those comments Farn, were on the Bbc match report comments section. And the Posh fan kept on with it, even if he was trying to be a bit sarcy with our fans!. I replied and said those comments are ridiculous, and that his team were beaten by a much better team on the day. And that their chairman and manager can cry about it all they want!!. And that's where I got the quote from the Bolton fan btw, for our match on Boxing day. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cwy81207g4pt
Strange lot posh fans. Some of them really should wait a day before making these vlogs, they’re just too emotional, especially Flashmans young ***! All about how bad they and the referee were.
His interview was a way of trying to defend himself and the team. After watching the game and listening to his reaction it was totally deluded. We bossed the game for 80 minutes. They had a 10 minute spell where they put some pressure on but nothing out of the ordinary. The penalty I get from the refs position, he could have thought there was a push so no arguments from me on that one but the call for a sending off was bizarre. No way a sending off for McCarthy. They were lucky enough to get a penalty. On the Peterborough sending off, my thoughts are that its a yellow with a warning of one more and your gone but I can also see why the ref gave it as a red. Lunged in aggressively and caught the player on or above the ankle. His interview was bizarre. Talking like they were hard done by and no mention of them been played off the park by a better team.
Thought their red card was correct having watched it a few times - out of control lunge. Perhaps an 'orange' if such a thing existed but certainly can't complain tackling like that.
up until then the ref had been very reluctant to show yellows for both sides. He had a clear view of a lunging tackle and rightly sent him off
