The JAQ Song

The song is pathetic as are the individuals that are singing it. Totally embarrassing themselves and the club

 

The first version could be said to be sung tongue in cheek and if she see the funny side as it appeared with her comment then it's quite a catchy song. The second version is cruel and it needs to stop.

 

The problem is that section of our supporters think they are untouchable at home they aren't troubled by our stewards and away if the oppositions stewards try to intervene then the idiots get backed up by other drunken yobs because "they're Reds fans and they need back up" The club should bite the bullet and give them the choice they either cut it out or they are banned then start issuing bans starting with the ringleaders I'm sure the SYP and club have enough video evidence of the culprits they do enough filming. Instead of just making weak announcements over the PA system and not backing it up get in amongst them and pull out the ringleaders and ban em.

 

No point just thought it was abit naughty. Don't like our lots song either but monkey see monkey do. Get a few morons singing something stupid sheep will follow.

9:22 how shameful chanting that and wanting to be filmed saying it. I don't get the whole video TBH. Why would you pay to go to a game and then not watch it for filming it? Why would you risk filming it to put online when you can get in trouble for copyright? So odd.

 

The young lad that does the vlog will probably realise his mate is as thick as mince eventually. Shovelling food down himself and grunting into the camera. Summat to aspire to innit?

 

My sentiments exactly. No need for it. Also can’t see point of singling out a minority owner anyway.

I heard it on the sky coverage today. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and must stop instantly.

 

I heard it extremely loudly a few times today, weirdly, it’s first airing was when we were 2-0 up. I have to say, it’s extremely horrible to be sat in a ground hearing a huge group of men chanting that a woman is a slag (with that word being shouted very loudly and clearly). I wouldn’t want to be attending with a young/teenage girl.

 

The same section of people who when told to stop singing the sectarian song did again louder - despite the fact the club will end up with a big fine or even having to close a section of the ponty.

They need to identify the idiots and ban them, instead of just paying it lip service.

Pathetic and a decent proportion of those calling a middle aged mum a slag probably still live at home with their middle aged mum and would hate to hear theirs be called the same.

That faction and those like them are the reason I’ve avoided going away for a few years. It got draining being tarred by the same brush, cringing at their ‘antics’, and getting the rough end of some hard stewarding because of their earned reputation.

 

Nothing will happen. They do a tanoy announcement and nothing.

No articles on the official site of photos of people they want help identifying.

No articles naming and shaming, telling us what punishment has been handed out.

Nothing at all at least publicly to deter those involved from stopping. As a club we could do far more.

 

They don’t take any of that into consideration. It would require thought.

 

There were plenty of girls and women singing it at Peterborough too.

I don't understand the mentality of some of my fellow reds.

 

They should start identifying the people who sing it and then revoke their season ticket and ban them. I for one would not be that concerned or disappointed if this were to happen.

 

This is what shocked me in particular, maybe not so much the younger women, but the older ones certainly. I prejudged thinking it was all youngish men, but I was dead wrong. Young & old, men & women. Absolutely bizarre bahaviour

 

From my seat in ESL which is toward the Ponty end. I could only make out a couple of chants. We all hate Leeds scum and F*ck the IRA. I just do not understand "hate" chants like these.

 

Me either, I refuse to join in with them. I'd much rather we focus on songs for our team or players.

 

It's baffling why we don't do this. Oakwell is a library until we're singing racist & sexist chants. Weird
