Look awkward, don't think the left side suits him.

He also looked to be limping after the match, possible tight hamstring?

He played well. I love his pace. He's better on the right as on the left he kept cutting back and laying it off or backwards...on the right he likes to beat a man down the line

Agree completely re cutting back and laying it off or going backwards. And on the few occasions he cut back and crossed, the angle made it easy for them to clear or the keeper to collect.

He did put in a good cross for the DKD header . He’s got to work on those headers as it was another good chance

Seemed to have a bit to say to Hourihane and Devaney when he came off - who both seemed to tell him to sit down and shut up.

He certainly enjoyed the post match celebrations.

Saw more of him at the start of the second half when he was playing in front of us, and he was very tenacious. Posh couldn’t get out and he and Okeeffe were a big part of that. Both worked really hard down the flanks.

It’s fair to say, that Cotter will look impressive against lower quality, as that’s his level. Nowt against the lad, but he struggles to beat his man the better the team we play. He is lower L1/L2 quality.

I didn't watch the game, but former full back Mark Smith did the co-comms on Radio Sheffield, and said that we looked uncomfortable down that side with having 2 right footed defenders in Cotter and McCarthy. Though he did say Cotter played well despite having to cut inside rather than go down the wing.

I felt he did okay, especially early doors where he put a couple of decent balls into the box.

I still reckon he’s a forward player. Be ideal as the right winger in a 4-4-2 with Corey behind him. Or even right forward in a 4-3-3. Let him cause chaos further up.

However, I’m happy to have him as a sub option at the least. Think he’s pretty versatile. And miles better than Lofthouse who I’d be moving on (and find a LWB to replace him).

My apologies. I thought he'd said he was a full back when he commentated on a Wednesday game last week, and I don't remember him playing for us, just before my time.

He looked like a right back playing at left back. I like Bazzas attitude always put a shift in but his end product is poor even when playing on his natural side.

Took the ball off their winger consistently.

Mark Smith was very good for us. He played 282 games for Wednesday and 104 for us. He was Player Of The Season for Wednesday in 1981 and for us in 1992. He won 5 caps for England U21. I wouldn't personally rate him quite as highly as McCarthy or Futcher, but I agree that he was certainly a very good centre -back.
