Always nice to see a love-in. And, being serious, we all type stuff that is misinterpretable or touches a nerve. I think you resolved it very decently. After all, Jay is a Reds fan like me and you. We shouldn't be falling out after a jolly good win. Lets wait till we get pummelled 6-0 next match before turning on each other!!

Gunna sound like a Killjoy but I wasn't impressed with our game management and decision making today. Thought the players let Clarke down a bit because the tactics and performance were exemplary.

    Good game and well battled.

Clarke has only had one transfer window, and didn’t know his squad that well. You can see there are some players who he just doesn’t trust at certain times. In an ideal world, he gets them out and bring new players in who will do what he demands. No difference to any manager there.

Cosgrove is an example - has the ability to be a good striker, but doesn’t show it and doesn’t battle as much as someone like Watters. Which is partly the reason he doesn’t start.

I just think we are down to bare bones in defence mate. Hopefully Earl improves fitness and Roberts returns soon as he his our leader at back, MDG did ok today again but needs the other 2 at side of him for me. I would think Gent be back on left on Saturday now too as Cotter looked injured and tbf he ain’t a left wingback really.

Needed to keep the ball abit more that 2nd half so many rushed and miss placed passes. Got the 3 points though.

I don’t think Cosgrove has shown anything to suggest he can be a good striker.

Don’t disagree with the rest though

Cosgrove will have to go at some point relatively soon. Doesn't cut the mustard, swims out of his depth and doesn't even flatter to deceive. If they can get anything for him the board should take it

Easy to say with hindsight, but if he’d fetched a striker off for a midfielder and they’d scored an equaliser, he’d have been accused of going defensive when we know we can’t hold on to a win at home.
Unless there was something glaringly obvious like replacing Killip with Cosgrove, I think we have to accept that despite it being a challenging game we weren’t always in control of, we got three points and therefore Clarke got it right.

I agree, he'd have found a red shirt when he passed the ball at least

Great win after a decent first half performance and second half we looked knackered and rode our luck but we’ll take it let’s hope we can back it up against Crawley.

Brilliant 3 points and two top drawer strikes from our lads. I think they had enough chances to win that game comfortably though, and they’ll be wondering how they lost today. I’m so pleased for Ben Killip though.

Think Clarke would have got pelters for not putting Nwakali on if they had equalised

Cosgrove, I keep wanting him to prove me wrong but he's up there with some of the worst strikers I've seen in the last 20 years. I've seen nothing from him really Bolton in the playoffs was his best games in a barnsley shirt.

I'd have left on Earl on. Fell apart defensively when Pines came on.

They brought Fletcher on and were winning everything in the air. Palmer was strong in the air aswell. Clarke says Earl was rushed back and only had 50 minutes in him. Earl did do well though.

I rate Earl defensively and O'Keefe gets better game by game.

Like most on here I thought the keeper did very well especially after his last home performance. But I would disagree about his kicking because it looked ok in the first half but not so good in the second. Could that have been something to do with the bad weather? The wind usually blows toward the north stand end so he would have been kicking into it second half. I may be wrong but it's just my theory.

Overall though a fantastically hard fought win and thoroughly deserved. I'm just annoyed with myself for not going. I was heading west on the A64 around 1230 and when I got to the A1 junction I was in a quandary whether to turn left (south) or turn right heading north, for Harrogate. I let the threat of bad weather and me not enjoying sitting in the cold any more get the better of me.

I think I've become a fair weather fan:D. It's Sky's fault though because I knew I could watch it free in the warm. Without that, or iFollow which I also use regularly, I would have certainly gone. I've missed being there for one of the best games of the season. Bit like Sheff Wed 4-2 and Derby 4-1 perhaps, although I was in the ground for those two belters.
