Good win. Rode our luck but that’s exactly the sort of game we have failed to close out in the past year at Oakwell so well played to the team. Killip for me. Still a weak link but played very well in the second half (poor distribution aside)
Killip. Not just for the saves per se, as vital as they were, but for actually bo.locking folk for balls ups, showing passion, geeing up the defence second half. Showed admirable leadership (and character) when you consider his most recent home game.
On the basis that Killip was obviously going to walk it, I voted for Phillips, I think there are clear signs that he's coming back to his best. A goal and an assist against Bolton, a goal today and generally looking more like he did last season. Hopefully he will continue to the end of the season.
Another tough one with some great performances but I’ve gone for DKD. His goal set the tone for a terrific first half
Tough one today, Kilips saves were great so he’s going to get the nod from me. But a great performance from Connell for me today, broke stuff up brilliantly. Well done to MDG too, didn’t give their big lad palmer an inch of space in that first half.
I would have gone for Killip but felt he committed himself too easily for the goal other than that he was excellent. I'm plumping for Mael le magnifique (again).
Struggling to choose between Killip, MDG and Phillips. Numerous saves by Killip and clearly put the Orient debacle behind him over the last few games. Thought his kicking wasn't great today but that's nitpicking. MDG so many tackles, headers, interceptions etc. Pretty much faultless. Phillips - goal and an assist for the second time in three games. If only he added more to his game I'll vote tomorrow after thinking on it a bit. DKD also worth a mention for the goal and selfless running he did. Starting to look the player we were expecting? Earl and Watters did well first half too.
MDG. Would have gone killip but his poor kicking gave him more saves to make Thought Earl had a good game before he was subbed too..But as a team they all played their part.
