There's the Wrexham version on there as well that is worth a look. The highlights are longer and the Wrexham commentator is very good, and unbiased to boot.

 

The goal line clearance from O’keefe was superb.

Yes that was a good highlights package and I wish we did similar length productions although I do often get to see the whole match on screen anyway. Couple of points:

Added on time - lots have said on here that the 7 was extended to at least 10. Well it obviously wasn’t as the whistle went after 98 mins and 2 secs so only a minute extra due to our time wasting presumably.

DKD1 - after attracting so much negativity recently he’s getting dangerously close to being a big-money target for clubs higher up than us. That sublime pass from Phillips was brilliantly taken down and he then, very calmly, made the space for an unstoppable curling shot with supreme skill.

DKD2 - his role in the second goal doesn’t seem to have been mentioned. Watters had done all the hard work to lay on a lovely pass to Phillips but look how DKD makes a move towards Max, thus dragging two defenders out of the centre. Adam still had plenty to do but he had more time and space than he might otherwise have had.

Commentary - fair play to them for enthusiastically calling our goals and, quite rightly, praising our lads for their skill. I would have rather had those two doing the Sky commentary.

 

Puts the Sky Sports "commentator" to shame. Almost as good as Matt was for us...

 

3 games ago DKD should not have been starting. 2 and a half games ago he should have been subbed and it's ridiculous he's never subbed, he must have some compromising photos of Clarke or summat. Now, just a week later, we're going to lose him to a bigger more successful club.

I was never in the “get him off” camp. He always needed time to settle and that time we’ve given him is now paying off. He will move on to higher things, but hopefully not yet.

 

I think the club highlights with background atmosphere instead of commentary, are a good idea.
But at 2 minutes or less, they are a disappointingly short.

DKD's first touch for the goal was a beauty.

 

That camera angle from next to the goal caught Pines getting away with one big time. Mullin was just about to shoot when he was pushed violently, two handed, into the adverts board. How that isn’t given as a penalty is a mystery to me. The refs blow up sometimes for a bit of mild wrestling in the six yard box yet things like that are missed. Lucky boy, Don!

 

It wasn't as bad as the two handed push in the back on MdG by Palmer early on, into the hoardings by the Ponty.
Ref was looking straight at it, turned his back and ran away.
Have to say, btw, that if the hoardings weren't there Mael would have crashed straight into the wall. So maybe they're the lesser of two evils.

 

I thought it was Pines who gave him a nudge at least the hording broke his fall.

 

It was pines not Russell. But yes lucky boy 1 arm shove.
