I wasn’t a fan of Corey up until a month or so ago. He had too much of a penchant for stopping the ball and coming inside, killing attacks. He’s much more positive now, goes on the outside, gets balls in the box and even better gets his head up to see who is where - the pass for Russell yesterday wasn’t a difficult ball but ten games ago he wouldn’t have seen it - or would have killed the ball from nwakali and come back. He is probably the most improved player in the team and I’m very impressed with his form. He’s a bit of a shithouse too which I quite like.
Don't hate him but every game he makes at least two blatant mistakes which either cost a goal or should have. We are just about getting away with it in league 1 but he is a major liability if we want to move forward. Clarke says cut out the silly mistakes, MDG clearly finds it impossible not too. The one at the end of yesterday's match was classic MDG fortunately the keeper saved him. The fact that he does this every game is an issue. He is lucky to be playing at this level. Every successful team have a strong defence we do not at the minute. We were three goals up yesterday and I still didn't feel confident of the clean sheet.
He used to annoy me a lot last season, by so frequently turning round and passing the ball backwards. I really like him now. He's very positive going forward, has good dribbling skills and puts in some excellent crosses. I think he has improved massively with Clarke in charge.
I sat in the family stand against Bolton in the playoffs, looking down on him he had the Bolton player on toast in the first half - but there was no presence in the box for him to get the pass to. It was annoying that he started the season so poorly because he clearly had the ability to be an attacking threat, he's basically the right sided version of Cadden under Duff now.
I'd like him to have more bottle in front of goal when there isn't a cross or pass on for him. Sometimes he flashes it across to no one. He'd be better shooting in those instances. You're turning over possession either way. Might as well try and score.
Exactly, nothing against the guy but he’s the weak link the in the defence, I don’t know how people can’t see it. He might get better with more experience in the league, and is worth persisting with for now, but needs replacing as a starter if we’re going to have any hope of clean sheets
I think Pines is cumbersome and a liability. More so when he has the ball at his feet. Earl, Roberts and MDG for me. Its a shame about Lopata because I rated him. That said, I thought Shepherd was better than Pines too. That's why I'm sat here though. What do I know. We're winning and that's the main thing.
