Sexist, misogynist and defamatory chants will not be tolerated at Oakwell and those who continue to do so will be ejected and banned from the stadium. Continue reading...
Good. Absolutely no need whatsoever to use the sexist slur in the chant and even worse that it is directed at a member of the board, who without we would be either stuck with Conman and Lee or no club at all.
Club Statement Shut the fück up or fück the fück off. Yours, Barnsley FC I like it. Have they been to brevity classes?
I haven’t heard this JAQ chant and don’t even want to k ow what the words are. But the fact there is one is an absolute disgrace, and I would absolutely welcome bans being handed out. These people aren’t supporters.
How the hell do they even get a plant pot into the ground? I get searched if they can tell ive got a pair of gloves in my pocket
The club issue a lot of warnings, but has anybody yet actually been banned for all the chanting they warn us about? I haven’t heard the JAQ chant, and don’t want to, but I cannot for the life of me understand why anybody at a Barnsley match in 2025 would want to sing an anti-Pope and anti-IRA song. I’d bet that most of them weren’t even around during the IRA’s heyday. The ‘we all hate Leeds’ but I can get with. Isn’t one of them capable of making up a few different lines to the first bit so they don’t keep getting warned? I suppose as long as BFC never act on their threat of ejecting or banning people they don’t have to.
Think the club may have decided enough is enough hence the Scarborough warning. About time some people were held to account for their actions
I just find the whole episode shameful. Ignore the fact it’s Julie Anne they’re targeting. There’s loads of exceptional women working at the club. Cleaners, catering staff, stewards, box office staff, the physios, club secretaries, HR, players, coaches, owners. I’d wager that there isn’t another club with a more female heavy workforce. How must they feel? Let’s hope those involved in this vile chanting take heed of tonight’s statement.
I saw the statement on the clubs Facebook account.. the comments on the post are unreal.. “it’s freedom of speech”, “club only want happy clappers in the ground”, “might as well be a library if we can’t sing”…. The amount of people that see nothing wrong with it I can’t get my head round.. They honestly don’t understand why the club have put the statement out!
About time, short and sweet, let them get on with it and ban whoever they have to, personally a wouldn’t keep going on about on here now, probably only fuelling fire with the knobb heads who sing it. I am sure JAQ sick of reading about it too.
