Thinking about walking down to Ebbsfleet game Tuesday night as they have just signed Moncur. They are playing Yeovil. Unfortunately I think Ebbsfleet’s fate is sealed as they are rock bottom of the national league. Your thoughts of George’s time at Oakwell 2016-2019 I believe?

I would imagine any team at the bottom of any league the last thing they would need is old Georgie boy not one for the trenches in my book.

Extreme waste of a great talent. In4reds says the rest.

Unfortunately he only turned up about 4 times a season. I remember him ripping Sunderland apart and he tore Luton to shreds at Oakwell which probably led them to buy him off us. Similarly, bought him from Colchester after a brilliant performance at Oakwell. His ego was bigger than his commitment to the cause. As others have said, wasted his talent.

Me and my lad labelled him ‘little fast feet’. His feet seemed to move at 200mph when in possession though he would generally either go round in a circle and knock the ball backwards after all his bluster, or just totally leave the ball behind.
Shame really as we were quite excited about him signing.

Great at getting the ball in a dangerous area, and running it out of play by the corner flag.

Rubbed our fans up the wrong way early in his Barnsley career when he requested a loan move because he'd not started any of the first 4 games of the season. Never really recovered.
