I think every head coach will say they want early business. If there's business to be done, it will happen when everyone / thing is ready and in place.

 

I would't hold that against him. Isn't it the case that Lionel Messi never attracted a transfer fee?

 

Tricky window the January one, every professional club in the land are looking for a gem, I think the loan market will be where our club's focus will be.

 

Why do we need links and stuff in public? So many signings we've missed out on because it's been leaked over the years, I'm happy to wait until its announced.
The Jan window is very difficult, we need to get a few out and probably 2/3 in there's a domino effect with dozens if not more clubs involved.
I'm not trying to get personal or anything like that but sometimes I really do think you need to re-evaluate your expectations of what we can achieve with our budget, you come across as a young knee jerk needy fan, apologies if I'm wrong but please judge when the window closes, can't say fairer than that can't you? You do realise it will go down to the last hour of the window don't you? Just saying, take a breath chill out and stop winding yourself up about stuff

 

They will do early business. Its just that your definition of early and that of the club are two different things.

 

Doesn't bother me at all at the moment. I'll be concerned in Feb if the ins and outs have weakened the squad. I'll be pleased if we look potentially stronger. Simple as that. If we gradually start getting stronger then there's something to look forward to long term.

 

...and we haven't lost any key players or a head coach unlike some of our promotion rivals.

We're fifth in the table. We've won our last four. We're second in the form table for 6 matches, the only team above us being Orient.

Yes, we could do with a striker and possibly a keeper. But we've already signed a player for a position we were short in.

But we just can't have any positivity around the place...

 

Clubs involved in the promotion race don't usually let players go, we can't afford big fees or big wages, we need players out also, there's no point signing players that won't improve us.
It's not excuses and it's not just us, other clubs are chasing in all likeliness the same players, it's a tough market and a tough window, it will more than likely be a loan signing in the forward line but it has to be the right fit at the right cost and and a player who wants to come.
Let's be right DKD won't be dropped, watters looking fitter and then there's humps who can't get a start, we are potentially asking someone to join for the bench.
