I just don't get the hype myself. People spend thousands to watch 10 sterile, carbon copy franchises play out 0-0 draws in their living room.

Wasn't the Scottish League far more competitive in the 1960's? Hearts, Dundee and Kilmarnock were all champions in the early 60's. Dunfermline won the cup twice.

That was a good Celtic team back then, maybe because they weren't nearly guaranteed to win every gam back then.

My wife's late aunt, who died a few years ago at the ripe old age of 100, was a teacher in Glasgow and always said that she supported The Jags (Partick Thistle, not Jacksonville) because the kids would pester her to declare some sort of allegiance and it was unthinkable that in that position she would say Celtic or Rangers.
