Anyone had a bin emptied recently? Nos two weeks for me. Brown bin full with bags at side. Now grey bin full, some extra in because Brown bin not been emptied.
Blue bins for paper not emptied up our end. All full with boxes and wrapping paper from Christmas presents.
Don't get me started. Grey bin was supposed to get emptied on the 7th, couldn't obviously because of snow and ice. Message on council website put them back out on Monday 13th and we will collect with upto 3 extra black bags. Extra black bags placed on top so no one trips over them and to stop animals from ripping them open. No signs of them Monday, so left out and put blue bin out for collection yesterday. Wife rings me, not emptied bins they've put a note on saying over filled. Gets home from work last night and most of the street the same, unemptied due to over filling and loose black bags strewm up and down the street and blue bin wasn't collected. Absolute joke they are
Kirklees Council have been pretty good. We have a green bin and a grey bin. It's a green bin week but because they couldn't come last week due to the weather and before that Christmas, they turned it to a grey bin week and allowed a couple of extra bags of rubbish.
Ours got emptied today. Absolutely no problem with council not doing collections due to weather. But then refusing to take bins when they turn up 2 weeks later is taking the pi$$ a bit really.
Grey emptied today after a week, which I understand due to the weather last week. Street now full of black bags and rubbish as workers refused to take the extra bags, which the Council said they would. Needs sorting or street will be full of rats etc soon.
Ridiculous if they aren't taking the extra rubbish. Wonder if they informed the workers they should be doing it? Either way someone should be sacked for incompetence.
Blue still out from last Wednesday and grey bin not collected today waiting till next week when the brown bin will be joining them
Yeah, my brown bin is sat there from last week, grey one for this week. Seen hide nor hair of a bin lorry in Royston.
Some of them are idle buggers at the best of times. They often leave a trail of rubbish on ours and neighbouring streets after a collection. I was stuck behind them for a while in the car one day and it was ridiculous how many cans and plastic bottles were getting spilled as they emptied the bins and they weren't picking any of them up.
