Sheffield Wednesday

It’s a local rivalry. And 99% of their fans are the most deluded in the country.

Personally speaking I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed with Wednesday. I don’t read their fans forum or listen to radio Sheffield when they’re in meltdown however living in Hoyland and having lived in Hoyland Common previously, I want them to lose every game they play.

I do pull an angry/disgruntled face when driving past Hillsborough though apparently as my partner found out when she caught it live on camera…

 

Eh? They're 8 miles down the A61 & the Town is full of Wednesday fans. What isn't there to get?

 

I could've written that but would've substituted the lived in Hoyland bit for worked in Penistone.
I don't really see any Weds fans nowadays but it still sticks in my memory how deluded they are.

It is weird why people say stuff like this. It happens with literally every clubs fan base and their rivals. Weve had posts about Huddersfield, spurs, City, man utd, sheff United, Birmingham, Wrexham, Liverpool, Bolton, Leeds, Cheltenham and loads more over the last few weeks. Obviously with proximity to club and fans intermingling at work etc, more will get posted about local rivals because more is known and its more of an interest.

Very funny, actually agree with him on certain areas. How is it his fault if the club is for sale but there is no realistic buyer. Deluded fanbase, no doubt they’ll think Mourinho will be going when roll leaves

The real sad thing is I can’t actually tell if this is a joke or not. That’s how bad they are!

Dejphon Chansiri has got to be one of the most baffling blokes in football. At tonight’s SWFC fan forum he has:
- Said he’s happy to sell, but it’s not his job to find a buyer
- Talked down and undermined Danny Rohl
- Refused to accept any fault of his own
- Said fans have no right to protest and if they’re not happy with the club they shouldn’t come to games
- Told fans they don’t need to know the plan for the future because it doesn’t impact them
- Said no one has come to him a list of with January targets
And that’s just some of it. Bought the club 10 years ago now, and he’s still oblivious to Wednesday’s potential and how big crucial the fans are. Seemingly no idea how good Rohl is either.
Considering he seems to know and care so little, it’s mental he’s still there.
Utterly bizarre.

 

Might be more to do with the way Chansiri communicated with them if I was guessing.

When I worked in Sheffield. Most colleagues in my dept. were utd. Then Barnsley. Then closely folllowed by Rovrum. Vast majority of all 3 attended games.
I'm struggling to think of any attending wendies except one from Hoyland lol. (Usually freebies) My best mate gave up due to cost etc. and tbf never boasted. A much younger armchair one did.

 

He was deadly serious! I just laughed. There was another more outrageous one he mentioned in the summer that I can't recall- although he thought Rohl was going to get the Liverpool job before Slot did!

 

Yeah but there's a rivalry, and then there's an obsession.
I also think its weird but obviously, I'm not from Barnsley/South Yorkshire.

 

Its even worse then Goaty lol, when they get called flipping Spurs!!.
