Haaland signs new 9.5 yr contract. Reputedly £500k Per week.
Approx £250m. Over the length of contract.
Then there will be possibly bonuses to pay.
    Agents fee.
And I wonder who would pay the insurance bill.

That's a lot of money for someone who disappears when things aren't going his way.

I can safely say he's not one of our targets then.

    We move on.

Ronaldos new one isn’t too shabby either. 1 year extension worth €183m, equating to €550k daily. While also having 5% stake in the club.

Wouldn’t wake up for that sort of money me, throw more than that in good luck fountains :D

Looked disinterested the other night against Brentford, City would be better without him.

Poor lad .. when he’s 35 he may be earning nowt !!
    Do you think he’ll care.
By the way, that’ll equate to a bundle of tax going into our coffers

Incredible striker but I do think system doesn't suit him, he will still score bucket loads and break records but he needs to run at people. Real Madrid would have been better getting him over Mbappe, because they're brilliant on the counter

No they wouldn’t. By a long shot.

They need rebuilding a bit though. That will happen from the summer. They will build round him; change the system a bit maybe.

It’s crazy money like. They’ve even backdated it to the start of the season so they owe him a few million in back pay.

Ten year contract on £500k a week: nice work if you can get it.

Though from City’s pov, in, say, five years time, they would very likely have a 29 year old top striker, right in his peak, on a weekly wage which by that time isn’t probably going to be the highest out there by a long shot. There are several on more now. Also got rid of his buyout clause, and there will be insurance in place for career ending injuries etc.

They would likely be able to sell him for whatever price they fancied in the next three to six years too. It isn’t a daft move by city IMO.

I disagree, you need to build a team around him as a target man, that's not what city have done. They win more games without him then with him in the side.

They won a treble with him scoring an absurd amount of goals, they wouldn’t have won it without him.
I don’t think their lapse in form coincides with haaland and his style, it’s more that they hadn’t replaced mahrez and let Alvarez go too. Also injuries to KDB.

And yet clubs up the match day prices, saying they need to, to compete. Family of 4. £260+, it needs addressing. And if that means players buggering off to Saudi so be it.

So he will earn around a quarter of a billion pounds in the next decade. It could still be a bargain because at some point they will likely get to sell him on for more than that cost anyway.

Or he could get kicked up in the air on Saturday and never plays again... I wouldn't like to see the insurance premiums on this deal.

Only Ronaldo and Messi sell more merch worldwide, his wages will be less than 1% of the income he'll generate during the contract.

It's more of a middle finger to Real Madrid who must be seriously regretting paying Mbappe almost double.

    The Daily Mail says...

Leaving that aside, the claim is a shirt sold every 12 seconds. Assuming every single one of those sales is down to Haaland then that's 50,400 shirts a week.
Haaland earns £500,000 per week. Which is 1% of 50 million.
Which means Man City would need to make almost £1000 profit on every shirt sale for your claim to be correct based on the evidence presented.
