Name each player after a type of wood.I will start.Cosgrove=Mahogany-dense, heavy and hard to manoeuvre
And if Scott Sinclair had not scuffed his effort wide, even prior to those chances? I completely get where you're coming from though. We squandered a lot of chances. Watters had at least four that I remember. Humphrys' header was a big one. There were probably others too. I think I referred to missed chances in my post though, to be fair. But for me, I think dropping certain players and starting certain others had a big impact. I mean, Connell basically assisted Bristol's second goal.
Sure it was quoted as a couple of million a few years ago , but am sure that figure is way off, a would guess quite a few local lads go elsewhere now , we seam to pick up lads released by other teams anyway
Imho at full time....it kind of sums most of our season. Rovers were very poor and we controlled the game for long periods. That said our application was AWFUL....I could go through the whole team but I think only O'Keefe...new lad and Nwakali and Humphries can say they had good games. Still crying out for one half decent striker and again it shows with shot attempts and goals scored. Too many players today on the half arsed days out....back 3 poor ...midfield worse.
Whilst I agree about Connell and the second goal, I think if was Gent who played a suicide pass into midfield to put us in trouble initially and we never recovered. I know he created our goal, but O'Keeffe had a poor game today, his crossing was back to normal unfortunately.
Well I think watters one on one was before sinclairs miss. People saying Roberts doesn't look fit. He came on the last game 3 week ago Clarke sees him everyday in training. Fact is he's 35 not the 25/26 year old we had before pace has gone. Connell was poor yes but very Wrexham and weeks before was very good.
We did have chances before the Sinclair miss you are correct, and loads after and game should have been put to bed. Connell didn’t have his best game but we had enough chances today to carry him although that shouldn’t be case. Roberts and MDG were both to blame for their first, the lad got between them and whose responsibility that was only them 2 know.
Possibly. What is the failing of your current arrangement, and within what space are you trying to arrange them? Have you. Preference for morning or evening sun?
Watters' first one-on-one arrived on 15 minutes, the Sinclair effort was five minutes earlier. I actually think he did the right thing on that occasion, Max. But the second chance, when Phillips played him in, he could have gone either side but tamely shot straight at the 'keeper. As for Connell, he's a proven operator at the level. Top six standard. He did play well against Wrexham. He wasn't great against either Peterborough or Bolton though. Whereas for me, Nwakali has impressed a lot more often. Roberts has been better this season than I'd expected him to be. But I felt Pines had deserved to retain that position, considering the clean sheet last time out. Four straight wins. Scored in one of them too.
Still in fifth place, all is not lost, keep the faith after a game we deserved to win if not for the finishing
Watters never looks ice cool and confident when he’s in on goal and today he looked like he expected to miss them chances, he really is bang average at best.
