Cosgrove is a power to reckon with in the air and Watters just doesn’t suit us. ( Come on folks work with me here in case clubs are looking at sites for tips on who to go for )
**** that, he'd push Mars out of its orbit causing the earth to explode or something. Oh and then he'd fall over and try to get Jupiter sent off
If Cosgrove had an open goal with no defenders or GK near him then I still wouldn't trust him to score. He's ******* awful.
your’e missing the point mate, it was supposed to be a ‘let’s bullsh1t somebody into taking them off our hands’ thread
Cosgrove is taking the kicking in this thread and he isn't great TBF but Watters is ******* awful, we need 2 strikers minimum to stand a chance of promotion
I can see an argument that we don’t play a style that suits Cosgrove but Watters is a pacy forward who likes making runs behind the opponents defence. He couldn’t be more suited to how we play, he just isn’t finishing the chances.
I hear Kayodi Odejayi phones Sam Cosgrove regularly these days, but he has to hang up because he can't stop laughing!.
I don’t think styles have much to do with it myself. I just don’t think they’re good enough at this level. They’ve both had plenty of chances. I’ve stopped slating them. I’m sure they’re trying their best. But so would I.
I think you’re probably right. It feels like Cosgrove is a lost cause but the annoyance with Watters is that he makes all the right runs & he seems to help the midfield play better by creating space for them but he just isn’t clinical enough. He isn’t far off being a really useful player for us but scoring goals is the toughest attribute to learn.
