I just think that out of the four games, that's the one I'd go for the most as an away win. You've over achieved a fair bit this season, especially in those close tight wins. But hey if you win this, your at Philly (probably) next week in the Semi finals.
The Eagles game this weekend is likely to be played in a snowstorm, which might throw up a few challenges for both teams. I have a suspicion that Washington might beat the Lions too, as they've got the momentum and teams coming off a play-offs bye are sometimes rusty in comparison. It's beneficial in allowing players to recover from injuries, but you often see the teams who've played each week being able to carry that form better. It's a fascinating matchup, for sure.
Kansas only lead Houston 13-6 at half time, so maybe there's still the chance of an upset here. Its 20-12 though now at the start of the 4th, game over I reckon. And yeah Kansas win 23-14 in the end, and they're into another AFC Championship game at home.
Pretty boring season again. Home advantage being too much of an advantage in play off games so far and Chiefs on course to carry on making it as predictable as the winner of the SPL.
Detroit score first with a TD, against Wash. Both teams swapped the lead in a really exciting game, but Washington do end up winning it 31-45. And I predicted it right lol, Detroit well and truly choked tonight.
Well depending on what the weather will be like, and what version of the L.A Rams turn up there tonight. You could be going all the way to Philly next week, for a big Nfc Eastern rival slugfest.
Turns out I made a good call on this one. Wish I'd had a bet on it now. It means the Eagles game will be even more unbearably tense for me tonight, as they now have the certainty of a home NFC Championship game if they win it, albeit with the potential jeopardy of losing to a divisional rival that they finished ahead of in the regular season. The snow might make things unpredictable tonight, so the form book might go out of the window. Bills vs Ravens is going to be a fantastic match up, and whichever team wins it should be capable of beating the Chiefs next weekend. They didn't look impressive against the Texans last night, although that's how they've gone through the entire season and managed to grind out results week on week.
Agreed, l had a tenner on the Bills pre-play offs, but then in the Ravens you have with Henry and Jackson that are frightening at the moment. Chiefs haven't been hammering teams but they are the Real Madrid of the NFL - they just know how to win.
Last night's Eagles vs Rams game was a great one for the neutral, but a rollercoaster of emotions for anyone with a rooting interest. I felt from the moment Elliot missed the first extra point attempt that it would potentially come back to bite us, and it almost proved to be the case (he missed another one later one in the snow, and Hurts gave up a safety too, all of which allowed the Rams to have a final drive where a converted TD would be enough to win the game). Now all the focus will be on how badly injured Jalen Hurts is, as he was essentially a static QB for much of that game, which then takes away the read-option threat and make the defence's job much easier. The change of weather conditions throughout the game was nuts too. The bad weather peaked sometime in the 3rd quarter from memory, but eased enough in the 4th quarter for the Rams to rediscover their passing game, which looked unstoppable at one point. Didn't manage to make it through the Ravens - Bills game. Fell asleep during the Bills first drive, but that was probably due to being an emotional wreck by then.
So onto the Conference Title matches (the seasons Semi finals). Maybe it was predictable after all, that the top two seeds Kansas and Buffalo, will play in the AFC match. But the excitement for me was once again in the NFC, as the second seeds Philadelphia will play one of the seasons surprising teams, Washington. And even more so, it's an Nfc Eastern division rivalry. And as a Dallas fan myself of course (who are also in that same division), I'm really looking forward to this one as a 'neutral' fan!.
Presumably you hate Washington less than you do the Eagles, which is what I'd expect as a Cowboys fan? I've never felt the same level of dislike for them as I do for the Giants and the Cowboys (and, to be fair, the Giants pale into insignificance vs the Cowboys, but are still some way ahead of the Commanders). I'd hate to lose to them next week, but that's primarily on the basis that we finished above them in the division, so would be the 'right' outcome, more than anything else. I've been impressed with them this season, and Jayden Daniels has been a superstar as a rookie QB so they'd be good value if they reached the Superbowl, which I fervently hope is not the case.
To be honest Sheriff kid, I think Buddy Ryan was an absolute ars**ole as your coach, going back to the late 80's. And that's definitely in my time as a Dallas fan anyway. Offering extra payments to any of his players, to injure and take out the Dallas players in a game. And it was probably even more than just one game as well, its just unforgivable!.
