Believe it when it happens. As others have said, vast majority we sign just suddenly happen without any warning.
Clickbait headline perhaps? Doug from the Chronicle reported Clarke as saying that there could possibly be a signing this week.
I think his comments have been twisted abit there. He was asked if there could be any signings next week and responded “quite possibly”. That’s not a definitive yes. It could also be any position not necessarily a striker. Maybe a keeper?
Sorry for my slant on it, what I meant is that in the piece they alluded to not finishing chances,then he says possibly new face next week (hopefully a player who knows how to put the leather spherical object into the plastic netting).
So within just a few short posts we've gone from sIgNiNg A sTrIkEr to possibly signing someone who may or may not be a striker. Booooooo!
